Sitting Where You Shouldn't: Barrier Wards
Tapeus Circleus Trapus
Incantation
A square appears.
Cannot resist.
I sit inside.
Trapped by choice.
- Crime
- Sits inside a tape square on the floor.
- Casting time
- The moment you put tape on the floor
- Mana cost
- 1 circle of tape, 1 curious cat, and a trap she walks right into
Witnesses report the following: our tiny wizard cat, sitting perfectly inside a tape circle on the floor. Casting time: the moment you put tape on the floor.
Draw a square of tape. Watch the trap work perfectly. The mana bill arrives right on schedule: 1 circle of tape, 1 curious cat, and a trap she walks right into.
No apology is ever issued. Only a slow blink, which, in Spellbook Latin, means "you are welcome."
Counter-spell
1. Your cat probably wants attention; schedule short play sessions at predictable times.
2. Put a cozy bed or box right next to your workspace, book or TV spot.
3. Reward them for using their spot instead of yours.
4. Ignore the blockade calmly when you can, so it is not extra rewarding.
