At exactly 2 p.m., a perfect square of sunshine lands on the living room floor. Our tiny wizard trots over, steps into it, and melts into a fluffy little puddle, pink hat flopped to one side. She is no longer a cat. She is a warm liquid. Her sparkly eyes peek up at you, blissful and deeply smug.
Scholars report that as the sun moves across the floor, the puddle slowly slides along with it, inch by inch, never once leaving the light. Try to pick her up and she pours right through your fingers with a lazy mrrp. Do not disturb the puddle.
