Fears & Dramatics: Theatrical Illusions
Cucumberus Terrorus
Incantation
Green.
Long.
Silent.
It appeared behind me.
AAAAAA.
- Crime
- Leaps into the air when surprised by an object behind them.
- Casting time
- Instantly, and about three feet high
- Mana cost
- 1 silent cucumber, 1 innocent cat, and 1 enormous leap
Every household has seen it at least once: our tiny wizard cat, leaping three feet into the air in terror at a cucumber placed on the floor. Casting time: instantly, and about three feet high.
Green. Long. Silent. It appeared from nowhere and the cat went straight up like a fluffy rocket. The mana bill arrives right on schedule: 1 silent cucumber, 1 innocent cat, and 1 enormous leap.
Sparkly eyes, zero regret, maximum floof. The spell is complete.
Counter-spell
1. Give them hiding spots and high perches so they can watch from safety.
2. Let them approach new things at their own pace.
3. Avoid startling them on purpose; scares are funny for us and stressful for them.
4. Keep routines predictable, which helps nervous cats feel secure.
